crime alert

I may have posted this same article before, but I think this one has a little different info. Anyway, dudes are still getting punched and robbed on the southside, so read this

I was checking to see if there was a press release from the sheriff about it (maybe it's a police thing, I don't understand the diff), and I started looking at sacto's most wanted to amuse myself and I couldn't help noticing how many of the dudes, especially those in on DUIs looked hella banged up. In light of the recent and growing jail scandal this is interesting.

I think of most wanted characters as people who have done something real bad. Most of those fools are just drug offenders. I'm not gonna say drugs aren't bad but compared to things like assault with a deadly weapon, manslaughter, molestation of a child, they don't really compare.

Yeah, I think it's really just "wanted", not most wanted. That Mike Thuston guy sure looks familiar. Also, the sex offender guys COULD be statutory rape, not that that is OK or something (of course it's not) but OCCASIONALLY dudes can be busted for that when they're not that much older than their girlfriend and they still have to register as sex offenders. Speaking of sex offenders, that McClatchy teach has been spotted out and about the downtown area recently.

I don't know what you are trying to imply.

the bee article about the robberies fails to state the races or ethnicities of any of the wanted men...that is kinda vital information.

You mean Margaret DeBarraicua?!?!?
She's totally hot!
Where has she been seen? I want to go there.

Oh, and I confirm Beth's comments about police (police are city and sheriff's deputies are county) and second her opinion that deputies scare the shit out of me.

so barney fife is not a representative deputy?

the teach was spotted at target and mckinley park by an anonymous reader.

Yeah, in all my years of living in Sacramento I'd have to say the city police were better to deal with than the county sheriffs. You'd think the former would be more itchy-triggered from patrolling more high-crime areas, but the sheriff's department, left to deal with the more sedate suburbs, tended to be rednecks whose bad-copness must've stemmed from sheer boredom or something bad in the drinking water.

I know one of the people on sacsmostwanted. The majority of the people up there seem to be on the hook for drug-related crimes. Mostly possession. But the person I have known for over a decade is wanted for something pretty damned heinous. The expression and appearance was more sad than actually banged up. I thought about an easy (?) thousand clams. I then thought about the Bee stories that the fuzz are demanding apologies for based on the notion that there are "completely fabricated facts" in the stories.
Anyway, my question for those who read this is, WWYD?
