snoreborechore

This day has been a snore, a bore, and a chore, and I'm including the blog in that. I'll post prematurely about some upcoming stuff, because I will probably only be in for a bit tomorrow and then friday's a holiday and then I leave town for a week. Kristy (who I just know from the chick list) is hosting this second saturday event at the Caspian Cafe. I want to eat at this place, but I can't go to the event.

Did you know that there's a group going to Poinsettia over Thanksgiving? Email Ella if you want to know about it. I'm mulling it over because my family has decided to crap out on the whole being a family, togetherness thing and we don't have holidays anymore. That may sound sad but really it means I can do whatever I want and I don't have to put up with any of their bullshit any more, so is it really sad? Is it? BUT I have John Cale tickets, so I probably won't go.

There are shows tonight and tomorrow at Fool's Foundation. I will probably go to the one tomorrow because, I don't know, just because.

Other upcoming shows that I've already mentioned are Animal Collective on monday, the 21st. If you don't care about seeing the best band in the world then you can just stay home and file your nails. See if I care. And the Finches show at Hotel Utah is the same night (the 19th) as the lovely Tessian's bday party at Port Costa (fort costa?). I found out today that another band called Still Flyin that I really want to see (and that play rarely) are on the Finches show. Crap!

Little Wings is too confrontational. At Esp Metro he took off his shirt and made people move toward the front.

Funny that Savage Republic is playing this Friday somewhere on Del Paso. They've never been a band that has blown my mind, but they are a classic, no? Noise music lovers can you help me out let me know if this would be something worth checking out?

i think all willing in sac should shoot their heads off onto a canvas and mail it to get a free meal somewhere. then at least we'd get dead food. and i'm all about posthumous culinary adventures. and fuck this city, or any city, anyway. i've tasted it all. i'm depressed and need lebanese grub. tabouleh for nutcases!

About the Pioneer Thanksgiving at Poinsettia-

I bought this awesome handforged campfire cooking rig that lets you hang a bunch of dutch ovens over the fire and it also has a rotisserie that I'm going to cook a couple turkeys on. Brew will be making some delicious pies and so forth. We will be eating real well. Basically, everyone should come. Even if you just come for a day, it is so beautiful out there! How often do you get to have a real traditional thanksgiving at a ghost town? huh? I encourage you all to think about comming. Have an adventure! It is 5 1/2 hrs away from Sac and I have a terrific map if you want to come. We'll be out there from Wednesday night, real late, until early Sunday morning.

Brew,
Savage Republic is playing at the DAM house in Davis on Saturday. they are having pizzas from around the world. It sounds fun. If I wasn't such a lameass I would go.

Ella,

I love Poinsettia and I love you despite the fact that you have been trying to rip my Queen of the Ghost town crown off my head. I must T-giving bike ride. It's the best damn thing that happens in Sacramento and I refuse to miss it. I am considering coming up on Friday, if I can get my shift covered. I have maps too.
