Does anyone want to make twenty bucks and get a free brain scan? I think that getting an MRI is relaxing but it's not for the claustrophobic. And you get to see your brain. Mine looked kind of shrunken and asymmetrical. If you want to do this, contact mariann at
mlowenthal@ucdavis.edu You can do it in Sac near the medcenter.
do you get to take the images home with you? cuz i'd be interested if i could put it in the box of collectibles.
ReplyDeleteFYI: Robert Casey is the AME of visuals at The Bee. He's a Bob and him email is bcasey@sacbee.com.
ReplyDeleteDude! i know the docs who are running that and ive done it twice!
ReplyDeletefun as hell!
Are you sure it's not Ben Casey?
ReplyDeleteWhen do they do this? I want to make twenty bucks, but not if it's going to cost me more than twenty bucks for missing work.
ReplyDeleteI wrote to Marianne, and she says she has 24-hour access to the scanner at the UCD Med Center on Stockton. So really any time will work. I am going to do it. -ez
ReplyDeletei'm actually really excited about this. i've always wanted to know what my brain looks like. if we all get one done we can sit around and compare the images over a beer. that just seems like a fun way to hang out.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know if she'll do a full body?

Hypocondriac!
ReplyDeleteI'm totally into doing that, Alice. That way while we're drinking, I can go "Which part do you think I'm killing right now?"
ReplyDeleteI like that idea, Alice!
ReplyDeletei hope you're being serious chirs, cuz i really do want to sit around with a beer looking at pictures of brains. i really do.
ReplyDeleteOf course I'm being serious! So do I! We could call it 'Brains n' Beers"!
