Nnnnneiiiiilllllll Hamburger!

Holy crap! I just noticed that the Lilys are playing this friday at fools! I would love to go to this because the lilys guy is fine and intriguing (and wore sperry topsiders with jeans in a masterful way last time I saw them) and oh yeah they are actually a good band. However, the Finches show will still win out for me. And I just saw the lineup for the Wasted Weekend! It's great, and I'm really glad it won't conflict with my birthday weekend plans. Neil Hamburger! The Four Eyes! And I've been wanting to see the Knights of the New Crusade for awhile. Despite the fact that I'm an atheist, I'm still curious to sample their brand of Christian rock.

  1. is this the band on Alternative Tentacles? i thought they were called Crusade Now? Jay Howell did a bunch of artwork for them in the vein of Jack Chick (you know those little comics the Jehova's Witnesses pass out?). check out Chick.com

  2. I actually have one of the single biggest personal collection of Chick tracts that I know of (including the flagship "This Was Your Life" in 11 languages), and it seems like I just can't stop acquiring them, although lately I seem to have been lagging.
If people are slow with the comments today, I'd chalk it up to holiday hangovers.

I see on the html version of Wasted Weekend site, that tickets are available at Tone Vender.

Do I need to buy a flux capacitor for this event?

Have ya heard jetenderpaul, heckasac? There like lo fi christian guitar pop..I have the cd somewhere..Anybody want it??i`ll mail it for postage.I had a talk with a drunken japanese right winger that worked for a karoke company in kumamoto`s 2nd irsh bar.He kept messing up a shrine(shinto)with a temple(buddhism). He had a fujiyama button and we`re like the same age. When i said a temple is buddhism. He said oh yeah!!all that india stuff. But it was in drunken japanese so maybe it was ruder.I asked him if knew any gunka which he sang proudly and then he made me name off battle field sites in Kyushu(which i knew)and then drunkenly called me friend.Shinto and Buddhism are so mixed in together they are hard to know whats what here in japan.People who like Buddha chants check out Ceremony a total buddha rock chant band from the 1970`s..
