OK, it's not the most interesting article every, but Jenny's mom is quoted in it!

    hee, hee,

Right before Skipper moved to Berlin he decided he had to eat at the Spaghetti Factory. We went for lunch and sat in the trolley, he had clam sauce which tasted a lot like clam chowder I had the manager's special. Seated below us in a booth was this cranky older lady who had 2 spumoni's and a large quantity of Chianti, mind you this was at 1 in the afternoon.

When we left we joked about letting Skippo's clammy leftovers sit in the car while we ran errands and then give them to Dave though I don't remember if we actually did that or not.

Can't say the restaurant is my fave but I do love the building. I am helping organize a convention for the Western Pacific Railroad historical society in Sacramento for 2008, and we're planning on having at least one big gathering at the Old Spaghetti Factory, since it used to be a Western Pacific passenger station.

  3. Not that I was more than willing to go to the Spaghetti Factory, but I believe you had suggested it Liv.

Although the food was considerably sub-par for the prices, it was definitely entertaining people watching; and entertaining to have a waitress not roll her eyes after having to get a me six strawberry lemonade refills. I did also appreciate the dollar or so price hike for the few extra bits of radicchio addeed to the bag salad.

As for the car baked canned clam sauce fare, I did leave it in the refrigerator with Dave's name written on the box, but I can't be certain he ever touched it.
