R.I.P. Ingmar Bergman

And this guy of course.
Just looking at these pictures is making me really happy. Look at Ingmar and Liv Ullman, are they the fucking best or what?

And let's not forget Erland Josephson and one of the best movies ever made (I'm thisclose to ordering this poster on ebay right now)

*I just bought the poster. 16 bucks total. a deal

Wow...I never realized how much Amy S looks like Liv Ullmann.

  2. I just listened to a pretty good interview with Liv Ullman on Fresh Air. RIP Ingmar....

  3. Favorite Bergman movie? I've only seen a half dozen or so, but I'll go with "Smiles of a Summer Night". Incidentally, me and Ingmar were born (bjorn?) on the same day.

  4. Admittedly, I've only seen PERSONA and it really didn't do it for me. :(

Consensus over here at the snnrrr is for WILD STRAWBERRIES.

How was the midnight movie at the SFFF?

  5. I can't believe my eyes?!?!? Two super big film buffs (DB and NM) who have barely seen a few Bergman movies between them?! Wild Strawberries is the Bergman movie that people say is their favorite if they haven't seen many of his movies (that or the Seventh Seal). That's just my opinion, of course, of course.

I didn't see the midnight dirty movie. I've was sick all weekend.

  6. See, I sounded like a knob again, I'm sure many people like Seventh Seal and Wild Strawberries the best, I just like his later movies better for the most part.
