Ye Olde Antique Faire is this sunday. It's only supposed to be a hundred degrees that day, no big whoop. Remember to wear a sunhat or put on sunscreen cuz a lot of the booths are not in the shade of the freeway. Also wear a hardhat to avoid falling raccoons.
Don't forget the Pizzas show tonight at the Distillery.

I went to Old Soul on wednesday morning and got some excellent iced coffee and a loaf of fennel ciabatta that was fucking great! Overall, I've been very impressed with Old Soul's bread. I bet their pizza will be good, too.
Wow, Old Soul is seems to be following the Cheesebord Pizza model, if it's even half as good, I am stoked.

I wish we had the cheeseboard in Sac! I have heard mixed things about the pizza at Old Soul, but I still can't wait to try it. I did read that they don't put sauce on the pizza. That sort of bums me out.
ReplyDeleteI guess the pizza sold out really quickly and they were stoked. The one time I had cheeseboard pizza it didn't have sauce, but i don't think that's the norm. or is it?
ReplyDeleteThe cheeseboard pizza I had was also sauceless. It had corn and feta and came with lime wedges, a southwestern-greek pizza? It was good though, just not what I expected.

Will they serve their pizza in a beer cozy/coozie?
ReplyDeleteLove,
Coldest Beers in Town
aaahhh! the psycho beer coozie people are back.
ReplyDeleteMan, I am stumped. I think Cheeseboard has sauce sometimes. Maybe I am shoving it down my throat too fast to notice. Of my last two Cheeseboard pizzas, I want to say that the pear/gorgonzola did not have sauce, but the plain cheese did.

I remember having pizza with sauce at Cheeseboard...strange.
ReplyDeleteI am a fan of sauce. Pizza without sauce is just fancy bread.
