I just found out yesterday that Ancient Sons have a show tonight at Luigis. That should be fun. I think they're playing first, so get there at eight-ish.
And, about Lost, I want to say that I don't pay good money to watch Lost to see scenes that involve only Daniel, Charlotte, and Miles! Or to just hear Sawyer relegated to saying "son of a bitch" over and over.
Good article.
ReplyDeleteI totally want to try the morants.
Natalie.
Sawyer will have more to say later, though he has said 'son of a bitch' alot in the past 5 years, but yeah it's too late for another love story. Maybe one of them will die soon, we can hope! I thought the episode was great besides that. Locke, Locke, Locke!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt really was all about how fucking awesome Locke is. I finally stopped thinking of him as "Stepfather."
ReplyDeleteAnd Alpert! And young evil Widmore!
ReplyDeleteHave flasbacks and flashforwards completely disappeared? I haven't watched it yet!

Forward and backward don't mean anything this season, it's all in total flux. Time exists concurently on every plain of reality. Heavy man, heavy.
ReplyDeletecanildow: either a type of bird, now extinct or something dirty and filthy you do to someone else.
did you really "steak" your claim, as the article says, or is this more of that journalistic freedom I have been hearing so much about lately?

$5.99/pound is ridiculous for tartare that's ready to go! damn!
ReplyDeleteA pound is more than a group of people can eat, but it's fun to try.
ReplyDeleteDid Muller say anything about how he chops the beef? Does he put it through a grinder, a cuisinart, or does he employ some bad ass knife skills?

The article reminded me of a meal my employer made me try. (It wasn't tough for him to do.) In Cambodia, it has two names. The one I could understand was "plio," which consists of raw beef sliced thin, which is "cooked" by squeezing lime juice on it. Separately, you toss together coleslaw mix, mint leaves, cilantro, mung bean sprouts and one tiny red chili pepper. It is delicious.
ReplyDeleteSee you all in March.

oh yeah, someone was telling me that sometimes people eat raw beef laap. that sounds good. i remember saying i would try to order it at vientiane. who was i talking to?
ReplyDeletei think that dirk grinds it. honestly, i didn't put this in the article, but the lame thing is it's beef shipped from australia. but it's very fresh tasting.
That was me you were talking to about the raw laap/larb. Traditionally with jungle deer!
