I'd like to again appeal to my all-knowing readers. Do you know of any places to get steak tartare or carpaccio in Sac? I know the Waterboy sometimes has it, and it's great there, but they don't right now.
I actually had some really great carpaccio at Lucca a few weeks ago. I have to say I was suprised, as I have had mostly spotty dinners there. But everything was good.
La Provence in Roseville has carpaccio with Five Dot beef (I went to their site wondering if they'd have tartare, actually, but they don't seem to). I feel like I've seen carpaccio a lot of places, actual tartare (which I love) much less often. I think Il Fornaio has carpaccio, and there must be others.
How's Fox & Goose lately? I've heard they went downhill foodwise and I haven't been there in months. Not because of the mediocre food I've heard they've been selling but not being in Sac.
i see the grange has it. anywhere else?

ReplyDeleteLemon Grass has it on their appetizer menu, served with a crushed peanuts and a really light combo of fish sauce w/chili oil.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, I forgot that I've had that at Lemon Grass. It was pretty good and it's probably the best thing I've had there.
