great show on friday

Phase one of Operation: Getting You To Miss Battlestar Galactica on Friday.  Thee Makeout Party are coming all the way from Bananaheim to play a show at West Capitol Bowl on friday night.  That guy on the left, Lee, is the best, and I met him when he was a wee sprout at a Bananas show.  Their band is pop, bubblegum, glam, right up my alley.  What about your alley?  There are other great bands playing, too, which I'll enumerate in the days to come.  And you can bowl! And eat cheeseburgers!  Or undercooked pizza! And ride your bike there!  And maybe the kids with costumes will show up!  And smiller will play Touch Of Grey on the jukebox!

I like that their motto is: there's always room for mellow

to clarify: dogwood bark is not playing this show. they were playing the last time we bowled and they have a kid bass player!

I'm also glad a burgers and brew is opening on r street. I hear their burgers are good and they will have Belgian and American craft beers.

  7. Does anyone remember when The Grateful Dead flatly refused to play "Touch of Grey" at the Halloween show? I still haven't gotten over it...probably never will.

If anyone wants to hear a sweet live Touch of Grey from '84 I'll be out in the garage.

there's also a good early show at r5 that night if you like to see a bunch of kids screaming like they are undergoing surgery without anesthetic and doing unexpected things with musical instruments

I'm not sure if anon is trying to make fun of the R5 show or not, but they just described exactly what I hope for in a night out. Especially if they're dong something REALLY unexpected with their instruments...
