halloween show

Halloween show! Epic! Monumental! Insane! These bands:

The Dead Kennedys
Green Day
the Mammas and Papas
Journey
Tupac Shakur
The bangles
poison
the monkees
Big Brother and the holding company
NON
Joan Jett
the zeros
the four eyes
Carpenters
Hole.

But sadly, not this beautiful lady. I took these high quality photos from the TV, obviously.

  1. I believe the Zeros & The Four Eyes are out - is that right? I was looking forward to both those bands!

Yeah 4 eyes and zeros out. Such a bummer.

I have emailed the bands, but fans should show up (with 2$ for hub cost) at 7:30. Seriously come early because someone has to play first and they may be great, like Huey Lewis last year. There will be coolers with ice an cups from drinking on the DL, even though the rules are less strict for a private party.

What's the theme this year? I thought it was California Gold?..

  8. I vote for next year's theme to be more clear. I vote for SIAJBFH;SKAFJ BNSEKLJGNHSLDKJNHSD

  9. An all Finish show! Good Idea!!

I vote for next year's theme to be one that inevitably infuriates Miller.

  11. Metal already happened.

Metal was a rough year for many of us.
Seriously, tho. Can you people believe that Goulet isn't doing a band this year? He's like the Halloween show king. I guess he was too preoccupied with Snow Buddies to get it together. What are the odds that he throws something together tomorrow? It's worked for him in the past, like with George Michael.

  13. What?!?! I just took for granted he was in one of the bands! Just do the Snow Buddies band!

  14. Next year should be Return To The 50s. Whatever it is, someone has to do Sha Na Na.

  15. As long as the theme allows DP & I to continue our string of doing bands that played at Woodstock, I'm OK with it. Hey, I have a great idea for a theme: Woodstock.

  16. Anonymous12:18 PM

The 50's is a great idea, I think we are all ready for it.
I agree with Biz (I have to its in our contract) A show without Goulet is straight crazy.

Everybody be on alert Goulet could need any of us by tommorrow.

  17. I can't play any instruments but I will promise that whatever band he covers I will attempt to tear his clothes off with my teeth.

  18. Wasn't the Doo-Dah Man from California??

    ReplyDelete
  19. Anonymous12:28 PM

The Doo-Dah man is from a state of mind.

Save those teeth, my Brett Michaels is frighteningly sensual.

Next year's theme is Bands I Like.

    Sorry DP.

It's just to get a heckamax Westerberg and a mike r. mike Steve Miller

  21. Do you like any bands that played Woodstock??

    Blood Sweat and Tears

Speaking of Woodstock, if anyone wants to dress up like Hendrix and get booed off stage before The Monkees come on, that would be sweet.

  24. Guph,
You gotta like some bands at Woodstock!

  25. Pull yourself together Goulet! We believe in you.

  26. "Metal was a rough year for many of us."

"us" = Jay Baker and Scott Miller

    Did Jethro Tull play Woodstock?

    Charles

ps. Guphy if you want Westerberg and Steve Miller (by the way, isn't that the name of Millers' cat?) Try some kind of theme like "Amercian Heartland". Woodstock certainly can be included in there? Maybe? Plus Al can do Mellencamp.

    ReplyDelete
  27. "American Heartland" - now there's a perfect theme to somehow annoy me. I'll turn around & someone will be doing Radiohead.

Fact: metal = worst attended Loft Halloween show.

  28. Anonymous3:03 PM

    'someone.' i.e. Woodhouse.

  29. I like Woodhouse's new reputation a a Radiohead fan!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Non?!?!

    Is that playing first?

Will it be early enough for me to see?

Am I gonna regret the fact that a last-minute place was found for Wounded Lion and Mayyors after all?

  31. Anonymous4:10 PM

    Starts @ 7:30.

I can't remember if I'm a fan of Radiohead, after the accident the doctors had to take out the 90's

What about a label and year theme? Say, A&M 1975? Geffen 1981?

I concur with Charles. Great frickin show!!! Huell was amazing!!!!

Just throwing this out there for next year's theme: Lookalikes. Yes Mike R. Mike will have to be the Boss again but who Doesn't want that? And you may have to sit through an Elliot Smith set by me (not even I want that), but out there somewhere is a rocker that looks like each and every one of us. Too bad for Miller that Tom Hanks never recorded an album.
