Hunx

FINALLY! Hunx and his punx are going to play Sac.  Not until June 30th, though.  I can't wait.  I was just showing my sister his scratch-off naked 7 inch (heh) cover and his spread in Butt magazine. Is that a weird thing to be doing with my sister? She's an adult.  I was also introducing her to the wonderful world of Tom of Finland.

It kind of sucks for our little movie screening night (this Thursday, the Verge, 730, the movie is Chris and Don) that there are two other good shows that night.  G. Green at the ToHo and Buk Buk Bigups at Old I.  How the heck did they get a show at Old I?  Here's a promo video that Aaron made for the show.  Is that a thing now?  Promo videos?:

    My guess is that it's pretty easy to get a show at Old I, but most hipster bands don't try. Jerry's booking is definitely a case of the squeaky wheel getting the grease.

    I'm into the promo video thing too. It's nice to see bands doing some legwork and not just spamming the hell out of Facebook or whatever. I miss the days when bands would have to take a pile of flyers to every record store. But then again, people would still have to shop in record stores...

    I was told that it wasn't a matter of Sacramento or money or "We heard the Hub was R.I.P." (although that did come up before I even told them). It's all a matter of timing. I guess the dude doing the shoot in majorly in-demand and has a tight schedule.
