Am I an impossible dork because I love this. Answer: yes. I don't care. I will admit I like Robin Thicke too, at least some songs. That new one with Pharrell is too embarrassing even for me, and the collabo with Nicki Minaj died a quick, merciful death. Has anyone noticed how Pharrell does not age at all? I feel need to justify my love of Robin Thicke by pointing out he has collaboed with: Kendrick Lamar, 2 Chainz (just a minute ago), T.I., uh Leighton Meester? multiple times with Lil Wayne, Kenny G, 50 cent, Rick Ross, Ashanti, and more!
if you like midcentury modern stuff you might want to search the ucd bargain barn website occasionally. look at item 172011 neat benches plus wooden cabinets with glass doors, as many metal bookshelves as you could want, desks and a medical exam table if you're weird
ReplyDeletenew fair musical lineup announced. they really hepped it up for the kids this year going along with the party line that the fair needs to be "kewl" now as the kids say. going to see weird al for sure, tho

I still refuse to believe in the existence of a band named "Hoobastank" unless they're different from a band I thought was called "HoboStank".
ReplyDeleteWeird Al is also playing the Alameda County Fair (Pleasanton) on July 5th. And, in Turlock on July 13th. Wow, now that i'm looking at his website, he's really hitting the fair circuit hardcore.
quick note: 4 eyes/nacho biznz show at fox and goose tomorrow. Food not bombs: glittering prizes!
tomorrow as in saturday right? sweet!
ReplyDeletespeaking of band names, I think fear factory is a hilarious one. What if you worked in a fear factory? Like on the factory line producing terror, horror, disgust or unease. and what if your fear factory got outsourced to mexico because they would produce cheaper, substandard fear. more like mild unease or just eerie deja vu. or perhaps a dream where you had sex with ted danson. not that i have had such a dream, ho ho!
ReplyDeleteif you want to learn more about fear factories, watch the documentary called Monster Inc.
ReplyDeleteMonsters Inc, i meant to type.
ReplyDeletealso, the show is tomorrow and, in theory, you would think it would be Star Wars themed since May the 4th is some Star Wars holiday think now. Be prepared to be surprised!
I can't decide if i wanna go see wanda sykes. i'm sure it would be funny. i can's believe i missed amy schumer last night! fuckkkkkkkk!!! i didn't do anything except fall asleep watching the most depressing pbs documentary ever!mc ham how was it?
ReplyDeleteI will crash the show in star trek attire. good luck in a light saber vs. phaser fight. i don't even have to get within striking distance. although we all know that those darn things jam at the worst times! rest assured I will not be wearing a red shirt.
ReplyDeleteFear Factory talk on Heckasac??!? What is this world coming to? I bet that'd be a funny band for the "bad music" show? You know a band sucks when their spoof side-project (Brujeria) is 10x better than them. Fear Factory has a pretty large cult following that's one of the biggest knucklehead contingents in rock music. They also make their own porn.
ReplyDeleteThat Australian band at Luigi's tonight--Electric Jellyfish--also has a silly name, but they are brilliant and tremendous. Kinda like the Scientists, but even better, I believe.
