sad

Bad music news: Grant McLennan of the Go-Betweens died this weekend.

Also, Dan Treacy does not sound like he's doing too well.

Good music news: the Pipettes sound like a ray of sunshine. Listen to a song here.

    Speaking of death...

Becky! Danny! Other fellow Roth fans!

He's being interviewed on Fresh Air today!

Dang - I got excited at the thought of Terri Gross chatting it up with David Lee Roth until I went to Fresh Air's website.

Oh, sorry dude! So many talented Roths out there...but yeah, it ws great...I was almost dreading the interview thinking it would be so depressing, but he was downright chipper!

I know - I thought the same thing. I was all, Maxwell's being left of the list of Roth fans?!

I'm so bummed today about Grant McClellan - one of my all-time favorite songwriters & The Go Betweens comeback shows & records continued to be awe inspiring. One of my few idols I would've really loved to meet.

Likewise, I felt funny being left off a list of Roth fans until I heard it was that no-goodnick Philip Roth being interviewed, not the Diamond.

Sad about Grant MClennan. I had one of his solo albums before I ever heard of the Go-Betweens. Bummer.

Yeah, Scott, I felt so bad for you when I heard. I'm so glad you just put out that ST, but when I thought of how sweet your liner notes were, it made me sad.

    48! So young...
