This weekend was epic, and that Luigis show will be legendary. I'm happy that Sac finally has a real, solid venue. People went off during No Bunny, which was super fun. I don't have any photos of anything to post.
Announcement: The Loft Halloween show is March 21st, 7pm at my pad. The theme is Blockbuster albums (albums with 3 or more hits.) I will also accept classic albums, those off of this list - http://tiny.cc/yXTUe
In conclusion, no Swami. Also, I am not going to reschedule this, mostly because I am busy the next weekend and the attic will warm up as the rest of Sac does.

PS - I think Abba and the Violent Femmes are taken. Also New Order?
No. Wait for it. Now I'm serious. Guns n Roses. Appetite for Destruction. Welcome to the Jungle is totally on Guitar Hero III. Talk to me. We can make this work. jamattack!
Substance by New Order is one of the 500 greatest albums of all time, therefore, classic album. Also, Hallowed Ground, obv, but not The Blind Leading the Naked.
All songs on one album.
Also, I think GnR has already been done, sorry guitar hero band.
I guess Rolling Stone does not consider Violent Femmes, The Violent Femmes (I meant the first album earlier, not Hallowed Ground, duh.) to be one of the 500 greatest albums of all time, which is complete bullshit, but I will abide. The Femmes are out.
p.s. I am still pushing for no theme, every year there is always a theme set and immediately broken so why have one at all? Perhaps less strife? Because I am still hearing bitching about last years bands that didn't follow the theme, are we really ready to start that again?
p.p.s Guphy I wasn't clear on your answer last night, ABBA Gold, bump or dump. It is a best of after all.
Wait so New Order is out?!? We hadn't even practiced yet! Fine. I'm gonna play an extra tripped out intro to White Rabbit, that'll show ya! What about Marley I'll do Babylon by Bus if anyone wants to be in the Wailers? I need a dread wig though?
I know my heart is so happy.
ReplyDelete-Natalie.
Sorry I missed the show. I bought Guitar Hero III. 2009 is going to be so rocking. I see the colors in my sleep.
ReplyDeletejamattack!

So if the Violent Femmes are taken & you're suggesting New Order, I'm assuming "hits" is pretty loosely defined?
ReplyDelete-miller
can you read between the lines to see how he feels about this theme?
ReplyDeleteAre you trying to block my nomination, miller?

Hey all,

Love,

Maybe I just blocked it out because I know that finding ZZ top's beer soaked beards the next day is going to skeeve me out.
