So I know that a picture of a dumb tattoo is not exactly a revelatory blog post, but this one is making me LOL. I love the roll call of importance. While googling "stupid tattoos" I also found one of the Tom of Finland image of the guy humping the globe, which is not a stupid tattoo at all! There's also ones of Eames furniture, which is OK.

Also, did you know that Freeblood had a video?

That song and video are awesome! Do you know who directed it?

The planet at the bottom of that guy's tattoo is making my brain hurt. Is it supposed to be a Star Wars planet?

Endor (also known as the Forest Moon of Endor and the Sanctuary Moon) was a small forested moon orbiting the gas giant planet of Endor. An enchanted world, Endor was notable for being the native home of the Ewoks, and being the location of the Battle of Endor, which would result in the downfall of the Empire and the first death of the Emperor Palpatine. Due to its proximity to the inhospitable Unknown Regions, Endor was a relatively quiet planetoid both prior to and after the battle.

Weren't Star Wars tattoos the topic of a recent Yelp discussion thread?

I wish people would get Battlestar Galactica or Space Academy tattoos instead.

The ankh (symbol ☥) was the Egyptian hieroglyphic character that read "life," a triliteral sign for the consonants ˁ-n-ḫ. Egyptian gods are often portrayed carrying it by its loop, or bearing one in each hand, arms crossed over their chest. It is also known as the Egyptian Cross, the key of life, the key of the Nile, or as crux ansata, Latin for "cross with a handle".
The ankh appears to be associated with the Egyptian glyph for magical protection, sa. However, what the sign itself represents is disputed. For example, Sir Alan Gardiner thought that it showed a sandal strap with the loop at the top forming the strap, but if so, the symbolism is obscure and so his theory has found little support. However, this interpretation seems to have received some acceptance among modern writers.

What the fluk an American Ankh means, however, is anyone's guess.

I showed this to Jeremy and asked what the guy would do if he had a second kid. Jeremy: "You think anybody is ever going to have sex with him again?"

So at least I can stop worrying about that. Other people's tattoos keep me up nights.
