Pliny, bro
Get ready, I'm about to uh, suck up to the SNR. Cosmo wrote a rant about redevelopment that he probably gets sick of writing but which is worth saying, and resaying, and reresaying. Then he clues readers in to a long article in Harper's by William Vollmann about homelessness in Sacramento. It's not available online so I'm going to have to get a copy. And then, area beer expert Scott Miller is quoted in an article about Pliny.

No matter how high he is, I still can't believe he called Major League "classic"
He's trapped in Apocalypse Now!
The only thing I'm addicted to right now is winning

If America finds one thing funny its an abusive, pompous, woman beater...
And Major league of course.
I couldn't listen to the whole interview it just was too much.

The Pliny article is hilarious. I'm not really big on IPA's so every time I feel like grabbing one, I get the faint feeling like I'm stealing from someone else.
I love Russian River though - Temptation is the best American beer I've had. So really, when you combine one of the best breweries in the country with the most popular craft beer style, then wrap it up with an iconic label, you're gonna hit it big.
Speaking of, I was gonna check out the Peter Hoey DIPA tonight at Pangaea, but I think I can hear the Pliny bros queuing up right now. We'll see.
