apeshit

Guys, do you ever just wake up and feel like you're a loser?  Wait, that's not a cue to tell me I'm not a loser.  But it's not not a cue to tell me I'm not a loser.

Did you see the movie Love and Other Drugs?  It has the most embarrassing first scene ever and probably gave me the worst second-hand embarrassment throughout of any movie ever.  But what about Anne Hathaway's tits?  Two nips up! (JK)

King Tuff Friday in Davis!!! Do you think he'll make it this time?  He better or I will go apeshit.

A lot of people, including my wife, are fanatical about avoiding spoilers. My wife won't go see a movie with me if I tell her that I've heard that it is bad. I think this is mistaken. Setting your expectations low -- i.e., reading bad reviews -- is the best way to boost your enjoyment of something.

What sometimes kills enjoyment for me is controversy. All of the reviews of LVT's Antichrist said that the movie was going to mortify me. I knew it wouldn't. LVT's number one virtue is that his films are boring. They demand moviegoers bring their protestant work ethic to the theater. If you're too entertained, you should expect to spend eternity in hell with all the fat, fascist Americans. I knew this, yet I let the title fill my head with a lot of fanciful expectations. boy, was i ever disappointed.

"Love and Other Drugs" is about as unbearable as a movie can get while still featuring nude Anne Hathaway throughout.

King Tuff will make it!
Now, will 60 fans to make it? An October of paying rent at two places plus security deposit plus getting defrauded on Craigslist has me all tapped out.

I can't imagine that less than 60 people will be there. Why, I'll be there and there's one person right there. Plus, Scott. Two. Raske. Three. Maybe fake Raske. I could go on.

Audacity isn't playing this? Seems like they're playing other shows on this tour. Reno anyway.

I think they are playing. It's just not on undietacos. Four band show!

Audacity is King Tuff's backing band.

When King Tuff's agency first emailed me about this make-up show, I asked specifically if Audacity would be coming, too. They said no: "It's just King Tuff this time."

Then about a week ago, we started seeing listings for King Tuff with Audacity in several cities. Now the word is that King Tuff is backed up by Audacity. They are a killer band, so people should wanna hear them play some Audacity songs, too.

Also...We got a weekend night for this show, and the Bay Area got weeknights, due in no small part to me guilting them into it in light of the cancellation.

Audacity's definitely listed as playing on the Reno flier.
