once again: suck it Breton

I know this is controversial, but I'm gonna say it: best plant in Sacramento.

Ok, take a sec and read Breton's most recent column and come back.  I'll wait.

Is it just me or did he take the exact wrong point from this debate in Seattle?  The real point is that every city has woken up to the fact that in the 90s and early 2000s a lot of cities got sold a bill of goods about what an arena would bring and financed them publicly and saw that they did not pan out the way they were promised and now no city, no matter how world class, is willing to foot these enormous bills.  amiright?  Add the recession into that and boom! It's not just Sac that has naysayers.

Also no mention of the fucking Kingdom which was demolished in 2000, but won't be paid off until 2016.

I guess football doesn't count.

You have to slay a dragon and get past the trolls in the forest before you can save it's princess.

If Breton thinks Sacramentans should be scared that Seattle will lure the Kings away, that's pretty disingenuous of him because he's also in the camp of folks who believe that the Maloofs can't afford the money it will take to move the team there. The downtown arena deal was gonna cost them $73 million. The Seattle deal will cost a team owner three times as much before you add the cost of moving. Many believe the Maloofs are too broke even to take the arena deal they shook on a few months ago, and Breton is one of them, too.

Maybe the Kings should want to move to Seattle because at least they'd get a local writer championing them who actually knows how to write.

"should want to move" hardly qualifies as "knowing how to write" so you may want to rethink that one, snidely. maybe you also fancy m your droll "criticism" akin to the coverley papers?

I think it's snark spam! A new type of spam?

Maybe it was Voisin trying to defend herself as "knowing how to write" about the Kings.
