How long before they play with Green Day (the band that opened for Pounded Clown) at the Arco Arena?
Myspace.com/chkchkchk did have whole album up for free listening, now just three songs. I really like the new album, A-LOT.
Tower here in Kumamoto has a mag with a special !!! track on a comp cd.A good size picture of Nick and an interview is in the magazine with Nick.It`s hanging frontside in the Dance Punk specialty corner.There new album has been out for weeks here..And the employees put some green cards written in japanese that says "this is the cool shit"..Subarashi Desu Yo!!I dj`d for a punk show last night.I was so nervous i played an A frames record twice..and picked up the Geeks record while it was still playing but threw it back on cause that`s so damaged in itself.Andre Williams and Jr.and his Soulettes made an appearances.Thin White Rope,Flipper and the Looky Loos got some heads boppin`.I also threw on some Curbfeelers and psychedelic soul of the Four Tops.Afterwards some people said that was quite different.Most Dj`s i guess just mix record/cds trance/hip hop like during the shows which was the exactly what the dj did after me did(it was cool).It was a great fun got to channel some work stress...jay
i hope the album is good. and i hope it sells well. i am friends with those dudes, i love their live shows, AND they're inspiring as people for what they've accomplished, but i have never been able to sit through any of their recordings. the music just drives me crazy, in a bad way.
