you called it

Well, I'm retiring again. Why? You guessed it, because I can dish it out but I just can't take it. And by "dish it out" I mean write fun, informative blog posts, and by "take it" I mean the heaps of praise and adulation, such as being voted third best blog behind some neo-fascist who only posts every month or so. And by "retire" I mean that I have tomorrow off. See you on thursday!

Glad you're back, Beckler. I enjoy reading your blog. And you write much cooler stuff than the screeds from that nitwit brownshirt Adolf Chipmunk of that wingnut rabble-rouser group Make America Fascist, who got booted off KFBK a while back but who apparently gets face time on CBS-13. What's up with that?

And what's up with the disgruntled members of Team Scoopy giving you a hard time?

In regards to one of your fave subjects, food, have you checked out the Macau Cafe on Del Rio Road, in that shopping center just south of the Zoo where South Land Park Drive splits off off Del Rio? Wen there last night. It's pretty gosh-darned good.

Anyway, welcome back. Now if NRBQ would reunite again and play The Palms, the universe might come back into balance.

Hey secret bloggers and heckasackers,

If you are in San Francisco this Sunday night, Knock Knock is playing with Nightgown at the Knockout room.

Man, I kick myself for not seeing NRBQ at the Palms.

Becky,

I saw them twice there (the old Palms)!--once with Big Al and once with Johnny Spampinato--both times they were great! I wish they could work out their shit and get back together!

I saw at least two of those Palms shows, too. I think more; a couple of times with Big Al and one with Johnny. Pure godhead. It was like seeing the Beatles play with the lightness and forward rush of Sun Ra.
