Unfortunately, there is a significant pro-mismanagement faction in the community, including several important developers. If they can get a mayor okay with things, like, say, Development Services undercharging developers at least $3 million in fees they'll back 'im to the hilt, claim that the properties KJ wanted to knock down were "blighted" (a magic word that makes it okay to knock down buildings) and spend like there's no tomorrow to get him in office.
