a bit more to say...

I really really really hope that this previous post does not lead to a lot of shit-talking commenting if some certain person happens to google their own name frequently. My blog is usually very friendly unless you are Heather Fargo or a Maloof. I do not know Cary Rodda from Adam, I just wanted to counter what he wrote by pointing out that others who were not friends with the bands enjoyed the show, too.

felt i should mention that cary's review was posted in his livejournal only; someone else posted it to the indie list. as someone who does know cary, i can vouch that he has no great hostility towards anyone in any "scene", and i fail to see much negativity in his review. he liked the show, pointed out some stuff that non-friends might have been less than entertained by, but admitted that overall he still enjoyed it.
you might be interested in his response to a response to his blog, but i don't have the link handy. as cary would say, "whatever".

Heya heckasac,

Well blog on in the name of rock n roll. I'm really glad that your friend liked us. The good thing about playing Old Ironsides on a Saturday night is that a few people who never would see us can do so. In regards to the "in-crowd" stuff, my favorite point that you made is about being a Morrisy loving outsider who was accepted by the cool kids. Me too! I love you, Loft.
