otherwise known as weird beard

NYTimes weighs in on freak folk. I'm going to see Feathers in July in Big Sur. I'm excited! I just hope the guy in it is not wearing his hair in a bun when I see him. I really can't handle a man with his hair in a bun.

I hate the phrase freak folk more than I hate men in buns and I hate "summer of love 2.0" even more than that.

Did you see that video on pitchfork the other day of devban with that brazilian chick doing the caetano cover? If he had a bun, it was covered by a top hat.

not that i dislike that music. i don't. i like a lot of it. but, the stylizing of it makes me feel icky. i kinda want to go goth in retaliation. i know that's immature.

on my way back from lunch on monday there was a goth dude doing a spidey pose on that sculpture in the median of 13th street right in front of the convention center. a chick in knee high black boots and fishnets was taking pictures of him from the sidewalk. and katy, yes, i did want to join my people.
