Whoa is right. I would kill to be paying $1400 on my home now, ha! And, reading the Darla Records part.... people think Sac is such an easy place to live? Well, it chewed those fools up and spit them right back out. You don't mess with Sacto.

thanks for that link. i wonder who said this (and i'm surprised the editor allowed their anonymity):

"'May Sacramento always remain obscure, I say,' proclaimed one long-time local indie musician who preferred not to be named."

so, did we become a musical hotspot? i'm dying to know.

I forgot about the Electro Group connection. I went to highschool with those guys. Small world-ola.....

"some culture shock is evident in her description of her first impressions of Sac, which she found inhabited by “people with frosted hair, really gross long nails, mullets and trucks; lots of overweight, out of shape, pale and greasy people and lots of people who are much less educated than we are."

Hahahahahahaha

Ow, way to make friends in your new town! Though it's true Sac is a bit of a Mulletopia.

I miss my pre-Darla records frosted hair. I felt it was flattering.

Capital Garage used to be so cool. That's where I met them Kando-Kaisers and I'm glad I did! I just kinda wish they hadn't brought along that neurotic skinny dude ;) Hell, I wouldve maybe had a shot at Hummel!

I'd say since it was written by Amy Paris, that the quote probably belongs to Mr. Scott Soriano.
