If he can't smoke it, drink it, spend it or love it...forget it!

Did you know that English Singles are playing the SF popfest this weekend?  And that the popfest is spilling over into Sac as well?  On Sunday, 14 Iced Bears are playing with English Singles and Fine Steps at the Townhouse. I wish I could be there.  I've never heard 14 Iced Bears or Fine Steps.
If you like country music movies, especially if they don't involve Gwyneth Paltrow singing I recommend "Payday" starring Rip Torn.

Even if he's crazy, still <3 Rip Torn, especially being Sissy Spacek's cousin.

Have you seen him in Forty Shades of Blue? It's maybe 5 years old and he plays and old hand country music producer in Nashville w/Ed from Northern Exposure as his son.

I've been telling people 14 Iced Bears are legends and getting a lotta "14 Iced what?" If you lead a horse to Google, will he view the results? They were one of the best bands in England in the mid- to late-80s. Can't believe we got 'em to come to Sacto!

They rule! But they were also sort of obscure even back then so it's not surprising. I really hpe this show does OK! Iw asn't so worried when it was at the Hub.

Just kidding, I won't be there. I forgot the lack of money and time I have these days. I want to be there though

Too bad - we had open guest list spots! I think it may have been our best show yet - much to my surprise since I was totally burnt.
