Thiemann's TV dinner

The TV dinner at the Verge (Nov 8th) gets a writeup in the Bee.  I love how Mike C.'s name is linked, but if you follow the link, you don't actually get anything else.

What is it exactly that you love about Mike C's name getting the link to nowhere? Also, I'm not seeing Mike C's name linked on this end ... Mike T's name is linked, which goes to The Bee's profile of him from last year. Either way, this is bound to be a rad event -- CM

ooops, OK I see the links you're talking about. That's some weirdness automatically generated by our blogging software. BTW, didn't you love it a few weeks back when the SN&R wasn't posting your latest reviews online?

wow, did this touch a nerve for you? I don't understand. I guess "love" is too strong, but it was a momentary thrill for me to think that Mike C. had been covered elsewhere in the Bee at some point or had some kind of listing. jeez, undeserved chop busting. I don't give a crap if the SNR accidentally doesn't list my latest review. it's not like I go read them online. SNR never gets any comments anyway, thank G-d

I was thrilled you covered it, and at the committee meeting I reminded everyone that the Bee is the only pub to wield real power in this town and we would probably sell a bunch of tickets from your mention

My apologies ... I guess I misread your comment - and perhaps was a little too wired on caffeine ;) Drink on me next time I see you ... and I do hope that lots of folks get stoked on this event and buy tix. It's bound to be a good one. Cheers, CM

I understand being overcaffeinated. Smiller was getting that this morning. Luckily we both had to go pretty quickly.

Quick tip: La Esperanza is making a bolillo roll stuffed with cheese and chiles, and it will rock your world. I used some carne asada from Carneceria Lopez #2 to make a torta with it, and it was crazy delicious
