movie tonight

G-Bomb- thanks for the animal collective tour info. I'll be going to that for sure.

So tonight, the new Jim Jarmusch, Bill Murray movie opens at the Tower (also the new Gus Van Sant opens at the Crest-looks terrible but I will see it anyway). There is a plan for all members of the Bill Murray Sacramento Appreciation Society to attend the last showing of the evening at 9:35. It will be boring because it is a Jim Jarmusch movie but it will at least be kind of good because of Bill Murray. And I love me some Tilda Swinton.

I want to see the grizzly bear movie. It's a Herzog film, too.

for some reason i was mildly interested in last days but then i saw the trailer last week (before don't move' a.k.a. don't see.) and i'm kind of disappointed in myself for ever having the slightest interest. it is funny, however, that when gus van sant pushes his 'indie' movies the trailers never say "from the director of Finding Forrester and Psycho" like we'd ever forgive and forget.

Although I do think last days looks crappy, I will repeat my judgement of Gerry as my favorite movie of 2003. I never get as much shit for this as I probably would if anyone had seen and/or stayed awake for this movie.

oh yeah, and Grizzly Man isn't out yet, but I will be first in line to listen to Herzog's sweet German accent. I bet you never thought I'd write that phrase, did you?

Dude! maya and I loved Gerry. I watched it by myself one day cause Ebert compared it to that epic film adaptation of the book McTeague--"Greed". I was reading that book at the time so I wanted to see the film. I thought it was really great so I recommended Maya see it since she liked the book McTeague. And a lot of people give me shit for that opinion. But, it's brilliant.

Hey bmsas'ers! Was that presumptious of me, to acronym the club name like that seeing as how I'm not a member? Not yet anyways. I mean, I'm not scared or anything, and I'm sure when you said to 'kill' someone that was just a euphemism for 'knock em dead with my summer fashion', but my point is, can I join you later for the movie if I promise not to talk? Ok. Cool. Maybe I'll see you later then.

Hey, no one ever elevated The Boring to such a level of gleeful existential elegance as Jim Jarmusch. I mean, he went far adrift with some real so-so ones over time, but I saw enough 21 years ago to know he's got the touch (should that be in caps, much like The Boring?)
I mean, that's only my opinion, which makes it a fact. To me at least.
