im the best? also message to jenny at the end

wow. writer's choice in news and review. now i know how that guy who invented the lobotomy felt when he won the nobel prize. hey, wasnÂșt he portuguese by the way? for the last couple of days smiller and i have been in england, oops i mean lagos, but there are so many brits here it feels like england. we have a balcony and we sit on it watching the parade of horrific sunburns and questionable vacation fashion. our balcony is over a very busy plaza so we like to do stuff like light candles and drink wine and keep loudly toasting each other with toasts like "to life, and to living it to the fullest" etc., because it totally inspires envy in the weary tourists eating at the overpriced cafes downstairs. we are so sick of fish and weird food that we are down to eating indian food (which is the bomb here, way better than sac) and pizza on the balcony. last night smiller ordered tuna pizza again and it was delicious.

today its a tossup between back to lisbon or over to sagres. we are beached out so were leaning towards lisbon because theres a fado singer that were obsessed with. his name is jose batista. hes tall and slouchy and looks a bit like nick cave around the nostrils and hes filled to the brim with saudade.

we are bringing so many bottles of wine and port back that its ludicrous. we have no idea how were going to get them all on the plane. also miller has bought about 86 pairs of shoes.

anyways, ill be back soon to tell you what you should think about and do in sac so dont worry but the real point is that i wanted to tell jenny that our flight does indeed arrive on monday at 645, continental. see you then!

Hello Ms.Sac! You'll be glad to know you have a shiny "best blog to tell you where to go and what to do"plaque waiting for you at the SN&R building! (plus, I believe RTL's fifth consecutive SAMMIE is still there so maybe I'll go pick em'both up) Can we hang yr plaque on the front door?

In addition to a lifetimes's worth of free sardines, this SNR honor comes with quite a few rights and responsibilites. I think you're pretty much roped into a yearlong slate of spokesmodel appearances at trade shows and chamber mixers.

this is good stuff. this is what the old publishers have feared for a long time. younger, smarter, faster, snarkier...

it turns out traditional media won't be undone by one big shift...rather thousands of little smart people digging deeply into crevices of local information and niche interest they could not afford to follow. amazing. the Eyeballfarm is watching and smiling and giggling in a slightly giddy manner.
