cameltoe contest hopes dashed again

When o when will some porn impresario organize a cameltoe contest so that I (well, my blog, not me personally) will stop being the number one hit for this internet search? There are hundreds of males who anxiously await this sexy fictional contest, mouses clutched in their sweaty fists. Who will quench their thirst to see female (or male, to each his own) genitalia oh so clearly outlined through pants, shorts and/or skorts? I pray it will happen soon.

If anyone is interested, here's a really good recipe for a butternut squash stew thingy. It was easy, and it's not your run-of-the-mill pureed squash soup that everyone makes. Despite the continuing heat I am pretending that it is fall because I want it to be fall and on a color scale I am a fall and it is my time to shine, goddamnit! Necessary modifications to this recipe:
1)used canned kidney beans, for gods sake unless you are the type who makes your own butter and home cures meat in your bathtub
2) this one is the most important, use soyrizo, the fake chorizo, it's probably even better because it won't give your soup a ring of grease on the top
3)if you want to make it veggie, use vegetable broth, i used beef broth and i don't think it made it any better
4)i said fugeddaboutit to the pepitas (pumpkin seeds) because i started shelling them and it was hard and i started eating every other one. it was still good.
5)still reading or have I lulled you gently to sleep? this soup looks really spicy but it's not. add some hot peppers or pepper flakes or something

They sell pepitas at Trader Joes, already shelled for your convenience. Toast a half cup of them in the oven, grind them up and add them to homemade salsa, and it will take things to another dimension of smokey, crazy deliciousness.

I just saw a similar recipe where they used pumpkin. You put the stew back inside the hollowed (hallowed?) pumpkin and roast it, so you get to scoop out more sweet pumpkin with the stew.

You need to post that recipe for fish stew you talked about awhile back.

here it is, i still had it on my computer. i made it the way mike t. said, my only addition being a yellow pepper i had sitting around. it was delicious (warning: resist the urge to put in more chorizo than he says, it's really strong and greasy-also the fish I used was escolar)

Cilantro fish stew with clams, mussels, corvina and large prawns in a XX Amber lime broth

serves 2

4 large prawns
2 small fillets of corvina or any firm-fleshed white fish
1 cups of clams and mussels @ 6 of each
2 oz Spanish chorizo, chopped in small cubes
8 cherry tomatoes halved
6 limes juiced
1 ear of white corn, off the husk
1/2 bottle of XX Amber
1/2-1/4 Fresno pepper, sliced
1/2 bunch of cilantro
1/2 white onion shaved or julienned
1/4 cup chicken stock
olive oil
salt and pepper

In a large pan saute over high heat the clams, prawns, chorizo and corvina in olive oil until the fish and prawns are browned on one side. Flip the seafood then immediately deglaze the pan with the beer. Add the onion and corn. The chicken stock and lime juice are added to taste. Reduce the broth then add the whole picked cilantro, cherry tomatoes and Fresno pepper. Finish with salt and pepper. Enjoy! You should be left with a nice citrus broth containing beer and cilantro overtones. Most of these ingredients can be followed to recipe, but I recommend that they be added to taste.

Story:

When I was a kid my family was friends with another family that lived in Oakland and they had a son that was about 4 years older than I. Zach was extraordinarily charismatic and good looking, always had a ton of girlfriends and probably lost his virginity at age 10 or something. Anyway he was the guy who’d always introduce me to things that were cool, like rap music, basketball, slang, old Cheech and Chong records, everything.

One day when we were visiting he was asking me about life in Sacto, which he was always making fun of, being from the mean streets of Oakland. I was totally square and uninterested in girls at this stage, must have been 11 years old or so. He was older and getting laid all the time so he wanted to talk about girls.

He’s like, “Do you have any hot girls in Sac? Are the girls hot in your school?”

And I’m like, “I guess so. I don’t know,” wishing we could go back to talking about records or something, but he was obsessed. Then he said something that forever changed me.

“Man, the girls in my school are hot! They always wear tight jeans now. Do they be wearing tight jeans in Sac? At my school some of them wears they jeans so tight you can see their pussy lips!”

I sat there stunned, having never really thought about pussies before, much less know that they had lips. Every time someone says the words "camel toe", I’m reminded of that day.
