You're tearing me apart Lisa!

say what? there's a "hub movie club" and tonight they are showing The Room?!!? I might have to go to that. It's at 8. Best worst movie ever! Also there's a Fine Steps tape release at Luigis. If only there was two of me. No, three of me so I could also stay in and do nothing at all.

So beer week is gearing up. There are a few exciting events and a lot of bullshit bars jumping on the bandwagon. Here's a list of the lamest events. The funniest one to me is the four Negra Modelos for 25 bucks offered at the Lair with the bonus being the two pint glasses the Lair got for free.

Swabbies offers 4.50 pints and $3 refills of Sam Adams Boston Lager while you keep the glass and other swag.

It is also Fish Taco Friday, with Corona-battered fish and shrimp tacos on special, and live music from Savannah Blue from 7-10pm with a $5 cover.

Ironsides should in no way or form be allowed to participate in an event that's supposed to celebrate beer. I don't even want to know what a Sierra Nevada tastes like once it comes through those god awful taps. Probably like Racer 5?

I stopped by the Whole Foods near BoTH this last weekend, so I'll be celebrating beer week at home!

I was bummed cuz they were doing beer week in SF while I was visiting. Bummed because the Toronado was so off-the-chain that I didn't even want to go inside(plus they were only serving barley-wine).

Monk's Kettle had a 1.5 hour wait. Even though they had hecka Sculpin on tap I didn't feel like waiting around.

Rubicon's got some Sculpin on deck next week. Cask & regular.

Isn't Shocktop made by miller or something? I have heard that the old school beers at monkey bar and R15 includes Burgie
Is that even possible?

Michalob is rebranding with Shock Top. VW busses are awesome and even more awesome when they dispense beer inside the bar!

I need some one to tell me where to go. Too. Much. Beer.
Miller? What's topping your list?

I can barely keep it straight! I'm hitting Sam Hornes tomorrow & Saturday (Firestone & sour fest), Thursday the 3rd Rubicon's doing a cask night that I want to check out, the Capitol Brew Fest next Saturday at Cal Expo is probably going to rule though it's $20 - that will probably be the most good brew in one spot. There's also a hardcore beer nerd "VIP session" earlier at the Cal Expo thing but it's like $60. And of course I'll be at Ironsides for the Sierra Nevada Plae Ale tasting. There are some other things I want to do too but I can only take so much Beer Week.

Becky, you accidentally included the Pearl Jam tribute band in your list of lame Beer Week events.
