holy shit, requestin' it

The Four Eyes are taking requests for the xmas show over at their blog. When will it be? Also, I want to take back my latter two requests and request that the re-formed acoustic band learn those songs for my birthday party. That's right, it's at the end of July, but I am making my birthday demands now. Which are:

Nar reunion show
Acoustic band-with my special requests
Four Eyes.

Speaking of parties, Katy, when's your Christmas party scheduled? I know it's early but this town loves that party and we're counting on you.

I think the current xmas show to aim for is December 19th. I have to clear it was Soriano first (after paying him all the rent we own him)

Yeah, Katy...I don't think we've met (unless of course Katy is your screen name and you're acutally one of my closest friends), but yet I'm going to request that you have the X-mas party while I'm home, because I love that party more than any other party ever. I just bought my tickets, so I'll be home from December 16th to January 9th. I get in at 7pm on the 16th, so that night might be kind of hard to swing, but I could make it work if need be!

THANKS!!!!!!

Man...I'll be in Phoenix on December 23rd!

The great thing about that is it sounds like a running joke, and it is, but it's also true!

23rd is the original date we set it for. so, let's make it so.

Smiller - you're not doing a new version right? we're carrying the weight of tradition? or can this town handle dueling parties?

so far on line up Michelle - we've got Patrone and Tristan djing, Leon De Leon, Franceen - and i'll be filler. i'd also hoped Smiller would do a guest spot. what do you say?

Nah, I'm not having a dueling party. My house is too small. The only DJ set I've ever done at the Christmas party is the warmup set. 8:30-10:00 was always my spot. I can't take the pressure of making people dance. But I'll gladly bring records & help in any way. I'm going to get a little sentimental this year. That is, until I realize I can just leave instead of cleaning up at 4:00 in the morning! A tradition I strongly advise. Almost every year I cleaned when I was still drunk. I'd buy a ton of shitty towels at thrift stores, mop like crazy & do the towel dance through the whole house. It's actually pretty fun with a few people.

the best part is moving all our shit downstairs to Camille's so that it doesn't get ruined. empty house!!!

i expect everyone to dress up still!!! feel free to bring treats. i'm really excited about spending hours at work looking up fabulous new cocktails to serve. and of course - the dancing. lots of dancing.

Rad - no furniture! Nobody can sit down & be lame! Though you should leave something around to lie down on. The annual passer-outer is part of the tradition.

I'm part of the tradition? I feel honored. I prefer to pass out in a bed, so please provide one for me. I like a nice firm mattress and a flat pillow. Thanks.

I passed out one year...the saddest feeling in the world is to be drooling on miller's pillow asking yourself why you drank so much of Troy's fancy tequila, when everyone else is asking, "Can you sport it?"
