Maybe he didn't say snatch, but he said some nasty word. Brew, do you remember? I thought he said it to Tyler.
And speaking of Fool's Foundation, what's up with their shows lately? Are they on hiatus? They have some shows coming up right when I'll be in DC.
And speaking of DC, I was bummed to discover that Ian Svenonius' regular DJ night was just recently cancelled so I can't go to it!!! What's a trip to DC if you can't see the sassiest boy? I better fucking see Ian Mackaye. Or the president.
And speaking of the president, does everyone know that friday is Tonevendor's last day of business. So from now on when you want to get stuff like the new Fiery Furnaces you will just have to fuggetaboutit and just start planning to move to a real city that has real record stores. Like Des Moines. I hear houses are cheap there, too.

I believe the word he used was "muff." Lots of good muff in Sac. Nasty nast.
Maybe you'll get to see Guy Whatshislastname in DC. He truly is a fine man. I saw him at a show on my one visit to DC back in 1995 and I actually talked shit about Dub Narcotic to him (because they had opened for Fugazi in Sac and sucked) and of course he seemed extremely irritated with me. He was like, "They're my friends!" So the whole thing sucked because my idiotic eighteen year old self was trying to impress him.

Chris Olsen:
Kansas City, Missouri Nov. 6th 1976-Nov. 6th 1987. Happy childhood.
Des Moines, Iowa Nov. 6th 1987 - June 1990. Worst 3 years of my life, and I was only 13 when it was over.
Don't move to Des Moines.
I've actually never been to a show at fool's foundation, but I kind of wonder how that works, because I can't help but think that everything ends up sounding like it's in a drainpipe, that place's accoustics are insanely reverby.
This will probably be my first show. I'd actually like to go see Calvin, even though about four out of five times when Beat Happening comes on my playlist, I skip it. A 2-chord monotonously droned pop song about Betty Paige does not need to be 14 minutes long.
The quiet shows sound great, the loud shows sound treble-crazy. Unless they're packed - then they sound pretty good.

Yeah -- a gross word...I'm guessing he got some Saction nonetheless...

Saction? Well, I guess tea-bagging is a tad less gross than snatch. -Danny
When was this show at the loft? Muff??? I really can't hear Chris Sutton (the current bassist) saying that. I know him, and he respects women.
It was a long time ago - they'd only been a band for a short time. Probably a different bassplayer.

ian's dj'ing is surpisingly not that hot...go to Whole Foods in DC...you'll most likely see him there.
I will stake out the whole foods. And then I will watch the movie Stake-out. And then I will get some steak take-out. I like that some anonymous Dub Narcotic bass player defender logged on. That was when Heather was the drummer and she also made the notorious exclamation to Phyllis "you better check yourself before you wreck yourself" and I believe she was wearing a wacky hat at the time. Is Dub Narcotic even still a band cuz he's coming to sac with some other band. Maybe I will be Calvin for Halloween, all you need is a small t-shirt and a stuffed animal, but i guess my gut isn't quite big enough.
I forgot about the "check yourself" thing..that was the worst!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And the best!!!!!!!!!
