Those recipe cards gave me a sudden flashback to the bad 70s cooking of my mother and many others. So many frozen vegetables, so many string beans, so many bastardizations of Mexican food.
my mom had those recipe cards. i distinctly remember her and my dad just busting up laughing, flipping through them when i was like 6 years old. if you tried to make food look more depressing and unhealthy, you couldn't do it.
comics curmudgeon is awesome! smiller had told me to check it out, but i forgot til now. note that CC loves Get Fuzzy, smiller! how ya like me now?
Forget Get Fuzzy or Crankshaft, who the hell takes For Better or For Worse seriously?? I have several friends who are avid fans of it and I always have to bite my tongue to not make fun of them for reading it.
and what self-respecting paper could still carry the Lockhorns? 1950s era battle of the sexes dreck! and the jokes seem to have fallen out of the asshole of don rickles.

don't you mean "mexican" food?
Yes, some "tacos" and "enchildas," made with Schilling spice mixes and some mild sauce.
