That little cutie is a financier, a French buttery almond cake. Easy (I made some this morning) and tasty. Here's a link to the epicurious recipe. Does anyone know if Conde Nasty is going to leave epicurious up?
The city council meeting with the Nestle plant on the agenda is tonight. I will not be in attendance, but I hope it goes off well. There is currently a stop work order on the plant, according to Sacpress.

I read that Epicurious will stay up (presumably with all its Gourmet recipes), since it's a mix of Bon Ap & Gourmet, but Gourmet.com is going down.
Ooh, I bet that cake would be extra tasty with some saffron thrown in.
Also, funny thing about water issues. My company (hence staying anon) is one of the participants in a big regional water management conference going on right now in Sacramento. Lotsa Delta players and experts, supposedly KJ's slated to be one of the keynote speakers. Wonder how he'll be received by that crowd?
