ganja productions no less!

Oh yeah, I forgot to post about this, on our way out of town yesterday, Scott and I were on our way to Peet's up 19th street and were waiting for the light rail, when Scott glanced over to this telephone pole that had flyers on it and said, "ha ha there's a nar show coming up I guess", just thinking that some portion of a word that had "nar" in it was showing on a flyer. Like, if the band was named Lynrds Innnards or something. We did a double take and saw that it really was an old Nar flyer. We parked and started digging away and this appeared!

Can anyone remember what The BLue Room was?? Oh wait, as I typed that I remembered! It was the small room in the Guild Theatre that was just a little trashed room that was more suited for punk shows than the big theatre. I remember a part of the ceiling falling & almost hitting Dave West when Qore was playing.

I think that's the show where Sublime stayed at 6th & T Street where the later-to-OD Sublime guy scored some heroin from whatshisname (the guy who shot the metermaid in the ass with a bb gun prompting a visit from Police Detectives who were probably pained to keep a straight face over such an investigation). The Bee's article on that said she was shot "in the small of her back". Damn lying media.

Sublime didn't much like the firecracker barrage (what else would you expect sitting on those stairs?) but seemed like decent people who took themselves too seriously (which prompted the firecracker barrage).

man o man I miss those telephone-pole-flyering days. There was nothing in the world as satisfying as stapling a poster over an ad for a Kai Kln show.

Did you need to bring Lynrds Innards in to this?

Who shot a meter maid the ass? Was it Xans Action (don't want to use real names)? I can not fucking believe that flyer is still there! The line up cracks me up. It doesn't get more Sac than that.

Miller- what about FAR, the band that stole your vowel sound?

We were too busy deflecting the "like GWAR?" questions. And the "like gnarly?" questions. Ok, fine, and the "like Far?" questions. Speaking of Far, remember when Jeff O'Toole (yeah, I said it!) was the most stoked to set up a Far/Fault/Nar/Gun show just so it would sound like Fahrfegnugen? That's probably spelled wrong.

"Hey, you want a piece of scratch paper?"

how many times has he said that?

I should say he doesn't sell heroin, but Sublime demanded it. I think beckler should edit out her comment to make it more cryptic for The Man.

does it make anyone else laugh that auction town has a website?

http://auctiontownroseville.com/auctown.htm

and that they call themselves the biggest little auction in california even though they're across the street from denios?

The Blue Room is the Starbucks on the corner now. One show there with the Sea Pigs I tried unsusessfully jumping over a microphone on a mic stand. The sound man played in some bands called Sleazegrinder/Whorelords(i think) and got hella mad. He wouldn`t touch the mic...J
